Slovenian Techno-specialist Baly drops off an amazing 3-track EP at the SubCult office. Starting off with a rolling “Bruja” that rapidly gains intensity throughout with well-placed stabs, a growling bass-line, and a synth-rise climbing up to the key-points of the track.

The second track is called “This Planet”, which is a deeper and more floating tune with a vocal educating us about evolution and energy. A clean buildup is followed by a smooth drop where the melodies take the overtone and make for an effortless flow.
“Rule My World” is closing off the EP a bit more banging again, sporting an oldschool synth-line and a relentless rhythm. Fresh new techno-cuts for any time of the night brought to you by SubCult!

The 12th edition of the Special Series comes to us by the hands of the techno heavyweight Pedro Delgardo. His “Greater Than, Less Than” is a massive techno-groove cut up by a robotic vocal, scratches and effects. The first remix is by Chicago Loop, adding a rolling bassline and classic synths to the mixture. The final remix is by DJ Ogi, who transformed the track into a more dark and hypnotic version with an evil little arp-groove adding to its deepness. Once again a solid EP with techno for the masses.

Aka Carl teams up with Kev D for some primetime techno mayhem. Loud kicks, cut up computer vocals and a stomping synth-line make HAARP a ground-shaker of the highest level. Maximus B. is the main artist on the Special Series 8 on Sub Cult, bringing us three originals and has Aka Carl and Peppelino on remix-duties. “Armageddon” on the menu first; with an infectious melody, a big breakdown, and even bigger buildup. “Jupiter” also sports a big breakdown, building up to a banging climax. The Peppelino remix is slower and darker, taking to the groove down to a deeper level. We can certainly feel love for “Poterna”, a melodic and uplifting melody and that ever-rocking bass-line make this a primetime banger of grade-A quality. Again a slower and deeper remix, this time by the hands of Aka Carl, darkening up the main melody but keeping the flow strong and energetic. Massive release!
