Fresh in from the Sub Cult office is Special Series 18, featuring two tracks from Aka Carl himself, teamed up with DJ Link. “Gravitons” is up first, a slow and steady groover with spooky vocals and a dark atmosphere in the main breakdown. “Psychometry” is a more uptempo crossover between the newschool techno and the hardgroove of old. Sporting a big buildup enhanced with brilliant use of the vocal excerpts this powerful track never lets down and keeps the energy flowing from beginning to end.
