How Hard Can It Be

Steel Grooves

Special EP 14 is a four-tracker by the infamous techno-producer going by the name of Steel Grooves. Kicking off with “How Hard Can It Be” which sports a rubber-like bassline which gives the track a lot of bounce. Hiphop vocals over the top make it effectively catchy while still remaining a serious techno-groove. “Good One” up next, and it sure does the title justice: oldschool synthstabs and a female moan over a solid foundation of bass and drums give this track a hypnotic feel. Third on the EP is “Back In The Day”, a percussion-driven big-room track with a bouncy bassline and a no-nonsense buildup. “So Negative” rounds off this EP, with a proper classic techno-feel to it. 909 drums, distorted synths, sweeps and down-pitched claps set a sinister and dark atmosphere.
